Terms of use
Last updated 27 August 2026
These terms cover your use of the PlanSnap iPhone app. By downloading or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Your licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PlanSnap on Apple devices that you own or control, for your own business or personal purposes, in line with the App Store Terms of Service.
Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard licence terms: Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement. Where those terms and these terms conflict on a matter Apple's agreement covers, Apple's agreement applies.
Subscriptions and billing
PlanSnap has a free tier and a paid tier.
- Free. One property, the full pipeline, watermarked exports.
- Pro. £4.99 per week with a 3 day free trial, £9.99 per month, or £14.99 per year.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is switched off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of that period. You can manage or cancel a subscription, and switch auto-renew off, in your Apple Account settings.
If you take the 3 day free trial, any unused part of it is forfeited when you buy a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's own policy; we cannot issue them on Apple's behalf.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that right cannot be excluded by law
- Resell, sublicense, rent or redistribute the app itself
- Use the app to scan a property you have no right to be in or to measure
- Present an export as a certified survey, or alter an export so that it misrepresents a property
- Use the app in a way that breaks any applicable law, or interferes with anyone else's use of it
Your scans and your exports
The scans you capture and the packs you export are yours. We claim no ownership of them, and because everything is processed on the device we hold no copy of them. You are responsible for how you use and share what you produce, including that you have permission to scan the property and to publish images of it.
Our intellectual property
The app, its name, its design, its icons and its underlying software remain our property and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. Nothing in these terms transfers any of that to you beyond the licence described above. Rightmove and Zoopla are trademarks of their owners and are not affiliated with this app.
Accuracy: what PlanSnap is and is not
PlanSnap requires an iPhone Pro with a LiDAR sensor running iOS 17 or later. LiDAR measurements are typically within 1 to 2 per cent in good lighting.
PlanSnap is intended for marketing, planning and record-keeping. It is not certified for structural engineering or legal land surveys, and any figure it produces should be checked independently before it is relied on. Poor light, reflective or glazed surfaces, mirrors, very long rooms and cluttered spaces all reduce accuracy.
Liability
The app is provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law we exclude all implied warranties, and we are not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a measurement, a floor plan, an area figure or an export produced by the app, or for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business or loss of data.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
Changes to the app and to these terms
We may update the app, add or remove features, and update these terms. When we change these terms we will update this page and change the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
